On June 8th, 793, Northmen raided the English monastery at Lindisfarne, starting the age of the Viking! On June 8th, 2024, Mountain Run Winery and Ravenwood Foundation presents Ravenwood Medieval Faire will commemorate this date by bringing the Age of the Viking back to life with a mead festival & Viking-themed Medieval Faire. Tickets are ON SALE NOW and available online through June 7th and at the gate day-of.
There will be Viking Tournament and Battles and Shield Demonstrations throughout the day. If you so choose, come dressed to impress in your best attire. Over 25+ artisan vendors will be at the festival with swords, axes, jewelry, candles, leather goods, knitted accessories, and more! Eight Virginia meaderies will be in attendance, gathering for the first ever Virginia mead festival! And food will be available from amazing food vendors including Over the Top Chef, Pepper’s on the Go, and Emmadale Takeout. The fun doesn’t stop when the Faire closes at dusk, as there will be an evening feast, bonfire, and camping.
