Why the link between the winery and triathlon? Back in 2005 our owner, David Foster, visited Culpeper for the first time to race in the Culpeper triathlon held at Mountain Run Lake Park (pictured here with his good friend George). This was his first triathlon, and having been struck by the beautiful scenery and the thrill of racing, he returned every year to participate in the triathlon. Triathlon grew into an important part of his life and helped keep him happy and physically fit throughout graduate school and then in preparing for a deployment to Iraq.

As usual, David will be racing alongside you in the triathlon this year 🙂

Our Meritage is a perfectly balanced blend of 50% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Cabernet Franc and this special-edition bottle makes a great gift for the triathlete in your life!
